Aniplex is partnering with Viz Cinema in early February to bring out a special event showing of three chapters from their upcoming import Blu-ray release of the show, the Garden of Sinners. It will be inside the NEW PEOPLE building in San Francisco on Saturday, February 5th, to be followed by a discussion panel with key members of the movie’s production staff. This one-day-only event will kick off the anticipated release of the Garden of sinners - Blu-ray Disc Box which streets in North America on February 8th, 2011 (just a week after Japan’s release).
A theatrical box office bonanza in Japan, the Garden of sinners Chapters 1, 2 and 7 will be presented in its original Japanese language with English subtitles at this special event. The door will open at 1:00pm and Chapter 1 will start at 1:30pm. In addition to the premiere screening, the event will also be highlighted with a discussion panel featuring Hikaru Kondo, executive producer and president of anime production studio, ufotable, as well as producer Atsuhiro Iwakami. Fans of the Garden of sinners will have a rare and unique opportunity to hear first-hand a variety of noteworthy topics as producers Kondo and Iwakami reveal how they started and developed the movie project, the fun and hard aspects of production work, and other behind-the-scene stories.
