GARFIELD going to silver screen

It looks like GARFIELD the cat is going to spring from the funny pages to the big screen as a CGI character in a live action version of his strip.


According to the Hollywood Reporter, GARFIELD will be written by Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow of TOY STORY fame. The storyline will reportedly center on the bad blood between Odie and Garfield, which has fueled a lot of the comedy for the 24 year old comic strip.


No word on a release date.
