What They Say

The Review!
Well my first impression of the first Volume of Gatekeepers was WOW. The video source was perfect through out the entire three episodes of this series. The sound clarity was good showing no sound and noise that I could notice and good left and right speaker usages when it was needed. The packaging of this DVD was very impressive indeed on the front we have Rupiee Chan her nick name and on the backside there is summary pictures for each episode. On the inside since this is a clear see through DVD case more pictures of each episode are displayed.
Inside there is a nice thick booklet that summaries each of the episodes along with the main characters in each episode. As for the menu it is a nice quick menu that allows you to access each episode separately in the special and original TV broadcast edition. Along with that there is also a feature to let you see the entire ending for each episode all at once. As for the content of the first three episodes it was a good mixture of comedy and action mixed in with a late 60's feeling since this is one of only a few anime titles that place the story in the late 60's in Japan during the great economic boom. Basically select teenager with powers called gates are selected in helping fight an enemy called the Invader. This is a great series that is worth a look at if you have the extra cash to spare
