Gellar to Play ALICE in Wonderland

You know it's sad that SMG has been so friggin type cast as the strong woman who fights monsters. I mean I really think this girl can act as we've seen numerious time in Buffy. This girl needs to go out and do some crappy sappy Shakespear movie to shake this stuff loose. I'd love to see SMG in a bunch of different types of movies, and perhaps be the next big thing Hollywood.

I have to totally agree with Dietvanilla on the first two points. Third point, Power Girl or Supergirl but definately a lead not side kick.

Can't stand her! I wish her and her lame husband would disappear. Maybe on the small screen she has some acting ability, but she's a trainwreck on the big screen.

Actually I've been waiting for this film to ramp up, any one seen the game?. The concept has been floating around for a couple years, and looks to be alot of fun. Personally?, I love SMG, she has talent, it is just a matter of the right vehicle. I agree with Jezuitx, she needs to broaden her film horizons. I hate to see her get typecast, but this could be a plum role.

HOW DARE YOU -Black Canary is no sidekick. She may not be as popular as Wonder Woman but she is no side kick.

And with the winged Ben Affleck in DOGMA and not that Affleck should play him. But a HAWKMAN movie could work and Sara could darken her hair or undye it. Is she a blonde naturally? I know I am and I am showing it with this question right now but she could be Hawk Girl. Heck the FLASH GORDON Hawk people looked good in 1980. Just do it like the current run with Thangar, Egypt and The Wild west past Lives story line.

And read JSA to verify how Black Canary is a Big Gun. That Birds of Prey show hurt so many characters respectibility. Schumacher had to be involved.

SMG as American McGee's Alice?? That's the shitt*est decision I've heard all year.
How can a dumb zero-acting-skills zero-sex-appeal 28-year old "actress" like SMG can play the part of a twisted grim dark-looking 12-year-old girl??? Please, I already know the answer: Holly-f*cking-wood, that's how.

Not a big fan of Gellar, I never really followed Buffy. The movie sounds really cool though. I'm hoping they can develop a story from McFarland's toy line of Twisted Land Of Oz and develop a movie from that. Oh and dietvanilla, its great to see some positive comments :)!

Would Have prefered to see Milla Jovovich as Alice, if they were going to cast her as an older girl.

SMG has done other movies, Cruel Intentions wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I haven't seenher in much else, I'd say she is cute but I don't think she HAS much range so she should be glad she's typecast as ANYTHING...
