GEN13 Movie Book Shelved
By: Rob AllstetterDate: Thursday, August 30, 2001
First the movie - now the adaptation. DC Comics announced on Wednesday that it is postponing the GEN13 Movie Adaptation mini-series, originally slated for a November release.
With the animated movie itself still on the shelves, the announcement of the release of the book, created nearly four years ago by Jeff Mariotte and Ale Garza, seemed curious, perhaps more timed to take advantage of Garza's heat on NINJA BOY.
Meanwhile, the GEN13 movie remains unreleased. Latest word is a possible live-action GEN13 movie - in its latest incarnation having the characters as junior high schoolers - might conflict with the edgier nature of Kevin Altieri's animated movie.
DC did say that the movie adaptation will be resolicited for a later date.
