The Review!
The audio is really good. Both the English and Japanese tracks sound fine.

The video is what we've come to expect from a DVD release. Nice and clean. Even the fake scratches in the opening scene are nice and crisp.

The packaging is colorful and informative. It has all the eye candy you could hope for on the front. A couple of problems though: as usual for CPM, no insert (other than the postcard, although the see-through case makes reading the inside easy), and the comics should be listed as a DVD-ROM feature (since you can only view them from a DVD-ROM).

The menus are kind of static with no sound at all. (I guess I've been spoiled by animated menus.) The chapter list doesn't even have still pictures. Other than that, they seem to function fine.

There are what appear to be typo's in about 3 or 4 of the subtitles. Is this about average? I only bought dubs when I was getting VHS (they were cheaper) so I'm just beginning to see a substantial amount of subtitles now that I've switched to DVD. The dub is above average but not spectacular. (I would not be embarrassed to show it to my friends.)

As for the show? This is no Evangelion, but it's not supposed to be. This is just plain fun, fun, fun, and more fun. Silly and ridiculous things happen. You have a good time. What more do you want? This is a bit of a Tenchi clone in that two of the main female characters are in love with the male lead (but that is as far as it goes.)

After seeing the first episode at Otakon last year, I knew I would add this to my collection.
