George Clooney in PET SEMATARY?

According to Bloody Disgusting, George Clooney is in talks to play a role in the upcoming remake of Stephen King's PET SEMATARY for Paramount Pictures.

The site did not know how big of a role Clooney would play in the film, but did say that they could 100% confirm the news as true. Back in 2004, Clooney had been rumored to play Doc Cage in the film.

PET SEMATARY is based the Stephen King's story of a family moving to a small Maine town with a pet cemetery and an Indian burial ground, in 1989.

Dave Kajganich wrote the script based on a previous draft by Mike Werb and Michael Colleary.

I cant take this crap anymore!! Leave it alone already !! These tools will re-do a great movie and destroy a Stephen King classic. I bet it wont stop with just a bad updating of the script they will probaly have Coldplay cover Pet Semetery from The Ramones! This would be worse than Michael Mann using In The Air Tonight as rap metal crap in Bad Boys 3. Hollywood needs to get its head out of its ass and get an orginal idea!! The only re-make I would love to see is Mel Gibson in Schindlers Sweet Tits.

What do you mean look how good the Godzilla remake was. I'm sorry, but has anyone seen that piece of crap. That's the last movie I went to see that I got my hopes up. From then on I go assuming the film will suck and then I will never be that crushed again.

Why do people think that a remake some how cheapens the original. If the remake sucks, never watch it again. Go watch the original. It's not like they're going to destory all copies of the first film.

its not just about cheaping a great film it just frustrating that Hollyweird does not have an original idea and when they do remakes they try to call it original buy so called updated characters ie: Farrel and Foxx in Bad Boys 3. Batman Begins was one of the few updates that worked. And for better or for worse Superman Returns at least tried to pick up where 2 left off.

ARRRRRRRRRRRG! ANOTHER REMAKE? Hey, the Outsiders has not been made in a while, Maybe we ought to remake 16 candles.

What is hollywood trying to prove, they don't need to prove that they ran out of ideas, they have already done a good job at that. I think everyone should Boycott all the remakes. Fuck this, if they are not going to make something original, then they should not get our money.
