A new German-based trailer for Marvel's The Avengers has popped up online today. Yes, we realize that many of you don't understand German. Sometimes a photo is worth a thousand words and the trailer does include some new images not previously seen. Check out the foreign trailer down below and sound off with your opinions. You can also watch the first English-based trailer down below as well.
The adventure which will help kick off next summer's slate of tentpoles will star Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård and Samuel L. Jackson. Director Joss Whedon is helming from a screenplay he penned.
Plot Concept: Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in "Iron Man," "The Incredible Hulk," "Iron Man 2," "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," "Marvel's The Avengers" is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.
I know this is off topic, but there doesn't seem to be an article posted about this yet: Anyone see the TDKR prologue? Just saw a very good quality bootleg online. Friggin sweet!
Looks good. Not much new, but it's not like I needed anything more to be sold on this.
I saw the first real non-teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises in the theatre this weekend. Once upon a time a thought I might bee looking forward to Avengers more so than TDKR. Not anymore. :)
FYI, VTGamehendge, I was talking about a trailer only. Not the prologue. I wasn't really expecting to see one attached to Sherlock Holmes, but I was delightfully surprised!
Nice! I wanna check out the trailer, too. But the prologue was classic Chris Nolan. Anyone who had doubts about Tom Hardy/Bane I think will be more than satisfied with how the character turned out. I really like his voice even though it was kinda hard to tell what he was saying part of the time because of the mask muffling his words.
Awesome footage. A few new bits. I'm still curious as to Loki's army. I've heard Skrulls, Kree and negative zone baddies like Annihilus' minions are all possibilities.
I caught the TDKR prologue with MI4. Seems like a bit of a rehash of TDK's prologue, I mean who didn't know Bane was one of the guys. That's the wimpiest Bane ever too. I also thought the batwing was going to be a batcopter but I was wrong about that which makes the plane look ridiculous IMO. The last shot with the mask was pretty cool though. But the awesomeness and epicness escaped me, it was pretty ho-hum
But I will agree with you on the "batwing." I've gone on record on this site several times over the past couple months saying that I don't really like the look of that thing. Looks like something out of a Batman Lego set.
