A new trailer for GET SMART has hit the web courtesy of MSN Movies. This is a comedy remake of the classic 60s tv show based on the same name. It stars Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway, Dwayne Johnson, Terrence Stamp & Alan Arkin.

Story Premise: In the all-new action comedy "Get Smart," Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell) is on a mission to thwart the latest plot for world domination by the evil crime syndicate known as KAOS. When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief (Alan Arkin) has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreamt of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23 (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson). Smart is partnered instead with the only other agent whose identity has not been compromised: the lovely-but-lethal veteran Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway). As Smart and 99 get closer to unraveling KAOS' master plan — and each other — they discover that key KAOS operative Siegfried (Terence Stamp) and his sidekick Shtarker (Kenneth Davitian) are scheming to cash in with their network of terror.

JESUS LORD ... steve carell is in EVERYTHING, and my only question is WHHHHHHHHY?

i mean i like the guy as an actor, but i am getting tired of seeing him every where i go. everytime i see a movie, he is there, weather it be on a poster, or a movie trailer. and it is starting to annoy the piss outta me

whats he in ... like three movies now this summer .... evan almighty, dan in real life, and now get smart!

Actually he's in only 1 movie this summe, well 2 if you count his cameo in Knocked uPr. I believe Dan in Real Life opens in October and Get Smart I think is slated for sometime in 2008. So that's 2 movies in 2007. Maybe it seems like a lot cause he's also in the Office.

Awesome trailer! That really made me laugh. Casting Carell as Smart was inspired casting. I cn't wait to see this.

maverickrenegade, I disagree with you about Steve, but I understand what you're saying.... I feel the same way about Ben "in every movie ever made even though I'm not funny" Stiller and Owen "How do I even have a career with so little talent?" Wilson...only, I think Steve is actually talented and funny.

I think he's funny but not the best comedian out there. The office is so not as funny as the origial british serie it's like comparing Gigli with Lord of the Ring, not the same at all.

The trailer made me laugh. I think I'll see this. However, Hathaway seems a bit young to be Agent 99. (Carell is a good 20 years older than she is). Then again maybe they won't be playing up the romantic relationship between Smart and 99. Looks fun in any event.

Its funny, Anne Hathaway is from my town, she used to walk her dog by my house, and with no make up on, not much to look at, BUT, she is one hell of an actress and very nice. Steve Carell is always funny, and I think the Rock is always good. Should be a great flick.
