GETAWAY: game or film?

VARIETY covers THE GETAWAY, a video game that publisher Sony is marketing like an action film. The article compares the video game's marketing materials to those for a Guy Ritchie film, as may be seen in the game's web site.
The game includes actors often associated with director Ritchie's movies, including Chopper and Ricky Hordes. However, Ritchie is not associated with the project.
Game developer Brendan McNamara says, "We've had these comparisons which are sort of good. We're trying to do crossover between a game and a movie, an action movie you can play."
