Video game distributor THQ has now shipped its latest Xbox release, the military first-person shooter FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR, to stores nationwide. Originally developed by Pandemic Studios for the United Stated Army to give troops greater experience in simulating squad-based tactics and urban combat, FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR has been tweaked to run on Microsoft's gaming console as well as Xbox Live. A PC version is scheduled for release this fall.
"FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR is a milestone in electronic interactive entertainment. As it was developed as a training device for the U.S. Army, it's the most realistic and authentic military game to date," said Jack Sorensen, THQ executive vice president, worldwide studios. "FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR is one of the most visually impressive games ever launched. It delivers tactical and strategic squad combat not seen in today's popular military games and carries the genre to a new level of reality and entertainment."
Screenshots, video and additional game information can be found at the game's official website located at www.fullspectrumwarrior.com. FULL SPECTRUM WARRIOR has been rated M for Mature and retails for $49.95.
