It looks like we're finally close to seeing the start of filming on the GHOST RIDER movie. The Australian movie websites Moviehole and Dark Horizons have both reported that the newest Marvel Comics-to-film project will film at the Central City Studios in Victoria, Australia early next year, making it the most expensive production to lens there yet. Filming would commence in January for an anticipated summer 2006 release date.
While Nicolas Cage was the last actor who was attached to play the Ghost Rider and his human alter ego Johnny Blaze, it remains unclear if Cage continue to remain with the project or if he's left it. Columbia Pictures and Crystal Sky Entertainment are shepherding the project to cinematic life.
MAN-THING, another Marvel movie concerning a monstrous swamp creature, filmed in Australia two years ago. The picture is awaiting release from Lions Gate Films.
