Producer Steven Paul has been talking about the delayed GHOST RIDER movie project.
While talking to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, Paul briefly discussed the film that was scheduled to start shooting this month. Beck and Smith report that a tentative production start is being looked at for March or April 2002.
But first, there's work to be done. Paul explains, "Right now, we're focusing on mounting the story before we settle on a lead."
Though Nicolas Cage looks doubtful in the film's lead role, Paul spoke of the actor's one time enthusiasm for the gig, saying, "He phoned me to say he was the biggest GHOST RIDER fan in the world -- and even flew in from Hawaii for meetings."
