Columbia Pictures has unleashed their first teaser trailer and a new poster for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Check the poster by clicking the image above and watch the trailer down below. Or watch it in HD Quicktime here. This next adaptation of the best-selling comic character will star Nicolas Cage, Ciaran Hinds, Violante Placido, Idris Elba and Johnny Whitworth. Directing duo Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor led behind the cameras, based on a screenplay they wrote.
Plot Concept: The story centers on Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son's body on the kid's birthday.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance rides into 3D/2D theaters February 17, 2012.

HOLY CRAPP!!!!!!! I've always enjoyed the first one simply cuz i loved watching Ghost Rider come to life. His presence, his voice, and just bad attitude was pretty awesome IMO. and not to mention how bad ass his motorcycle was. The whole Nic Cage thiing that most of you hated was just secondary to me compared to how Ghost Rider came off the screen.
But This trailer looks like it's gonna be 10 times more kick ass than the first!!! Cant wait!!! F YA!!!!

That looks waaaaaaay better than I thought it would...which is awesome, because I can NEVER have enough Marvel flicks to look forward to!
Ghost Rider himself looks badass. Idris Elba is a definite plus. IMHO having Ghost Rider and Spidey out next year along with The Avengers is crazy...thats Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Agent Coulson, Loki, Ghost Rider (plus villain), Spiderman, Lizard & Spidey Supporting cast (plus Avengers BIG villain, Skrulls?) ALL ON THE BIG-SCREEN in a single year....it's like an introduction to the whole Marvel U, all we need is an X-Men flick and that Fantastic 4 reboot and the gang's nearly all here!

@Violator....ur absolutely right, we DO need a new Spawn movie....seems odd that it doesn't have more vocal support from fans AND hollywood...the content is all there to make an AMAZING franchise, and due to the dark nature of the material, more practical effects work could be done and accented with today's new CGI to make something visually stunning for a less-than-astronomical budget...it probably wouldn't be a summer tentpole film, but it could be a hit and make millions regardless...we will see
Really digging the new style of directing on this, and the CGI. That intro scene when he grabbed the guy with the chains in the sky and slammed him down. That was sweet! Hoping the story is good.

Nice stunt on the bridge scene. Rental. It felt at first watch like a separate movie, not a continuation of the 1st one.
