Holy sh*t. You see what we all get for jumping the gun on how bad the first teaser trailer was and how the movie was gonna probably suck, well this changes everything for me as far as CG goes, it looks incredable and now I am realy looking forward to this. Go G Rider!

Wow. This looks quite cool. I was so totally sold on the notion that this film would blow harder than BLADE: TRINITY. Now, I am thinking slightly different. Although my only complaint is that why in the hell can't anyone seem to add the word "The" when announcing the name of their character.

Doesn't "I'm THE Ghost Rider" sound cooler than "I'm Ghost Rider"? Or "I'm THE Batman"?

Of course, the CGI wasn't the problem with the first trailer from long ago. Anyone with a brain should have realized that it was an incredibly early trailer for a movie that was nowhere near complete and that the effects were of course going to be improved upon before release. The problem with that trailer, and this one, is that they’re cheesy, generic trailers. I’m interested in this movie, but only because once upon a time I liked the comic book. I also realize that trailers usually say next to nothing about the actual movie. In fact, I’d even go so far as to say that many movie trailers and TV spots tend to bend over backwards to try and make a movie look as stupid as possible. I’m not sure why this is done, but I guess it sells tickets. I’m also tired of the fact that because Michael Keaton once said “I’m Batman” and Tobey Maguire once said “I’m Spider-Man,” Nicholas Cage now has to say “I’m Ghost Rider.” I’m enjoyed “Daredevil” for what it was worth (I have yet to see the director’s cut, which I hear is a lot better) and if “Ghost Rider” is on that level then I’ll be reasonably satisfied. Too bad we have to wait until 2007, though. “On February 16, his curse becomes our amusement.”

I'm glad to see they're taking the necessary time to get this movie right, because the trailer looks terrific and got my excited to see the movie. Will there be a penance stare? I like that he has the chain and uses it like Spawn.

Well, consider me wicked psyched (I'm from Massachusetts, forgive the "wicked"). It's funny, because as an exclusively Marvel guy from the 70's through 80's, I devoured just about every title, even the terrible Champions which had the most awful mix of left over characters (Ghost Rider, Black Widow, Hercules, Angel and Iceman ... really ridiculous), and was a hard core horror geek, but I never really got too into GR in his solo book (just a dozen or so issues), so it's odd that I'm very protective of the character. And this movie seem like the perfect mix of talent for this vehichle, no pun intended. Cage is awesome yet really can make some crap, but I'll always love him (Hell, he picked Cage as his stage name after Luke Cage, Power Man for God's sake ... how ridiculously cool is that?). You can tell that NO ONE wanted to make this movie and it had all the warning signs of another almost straight to video Marvel cast off (Punisher, etc.), but it seems like Cage used his Hollywood juice and dumb-ass fanboy enthusiasm to get this silliness done, and I think we will all benefit from it.

My only real bitch so far is that I wish they used Ghostie's classic 70's suit (awesome midnight blue leather MC jacket and pants with light blue piping on the pants on that cool flipped up collar) instead of the generic "bad-boy biker" crap from the 90's relaunch. So lame ... just the basic "generic Hollywood biker/tough guy" costume off the rack. Grey pants, indistiguishable black jacket and .... oooooh, spikes! Scary tough guy! Blah. And whats up with seeing the grey t-shirt underneath? The old GR blue leather jacket had that kick-ass zippered flap snug up to the neck like a classic Marlon Brando MC jacket. This one has an open neck and a t-shirt for a minion of Hell. Wish they'd gone the other route. At least the cycle looks all chopper like and classic (no doubt in part because of the poppularity of American Chopper) and not the stupid Judge Dread-like tank thing wi

Continued, because I'm a long winded dork--

not the stupid Judge Dread-like tank thing with the big ass metal shield of the 90's comic bike.

Oh Man, that was hot! I`m a big fan of Ghost Rider. He never said in the comic book that he was "the Ghost Rider". He was just Ghost Rider. Actually he never said his own name much, so I don`t know hy Cage has to. He used to jus refer to himself as the "Spirit of Vengence" Although, I do like when people, "the Batman". It just sounds cooler. The CG was definitely cool. Ghost Rider looks great and the Hell Cycle, forget about it. Awesome! I just hope that Cage doesn`t have too many cornball cliched hero lines.

I wonder if Danny Ketch will make an appearance? I mean the suit GR has on with the spikes on the shoulders is more Danny Ketch than John Blaze, but whatever. It looks damn cool. Can`t wait to see the penance stare.
