As we covered earlier in the month, the three Ghost in the Shell: Standalone Complex features are due out for Blu-ray release in Japan at the end of December of this year. The first two are compilation movies while the third one was an original feature from a few years back. Now, a few weeks later, Right Stuf is listing that all three of these features are set for a US release through the usual model of Manga Entertainment distributing the Bandai Entertainment authored works, which we saw with the DVD releases years ago because of the deal Manga made back in the 90's related to all things Ghost in the Shell oriented with their funding of the original movie. Each feature is set with a $34.98 price tag, all bilingual and all set for release on December 7th, 2010.

Now, if only we could get the original TV seasons this way like we were promised in Japan back when HD DVD and Blu-ray first came to market...

No thanks. The movies pale in comparison to the full TV series. Give us the series on BluRay, or don't bother at all.
