Ghost, the TV Series?

Yes, it is official. Hollywood has now officially run out of ideas. Vulture is reporting that Paramount is going to develop a series based on the movie Ghost (1990). Yes, the same movie that starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Paramount is developing a Ghost TV show — as in the movie Ghost — with a pilot co-written by Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinker... There's no info yet on a timeline for when this show would air, but those are some big guns working on the pilot: Goldsman won an Oscar for his screenplay for A Beautiful Mind, Pinker has been a writer and producer on Alias and Lost, among other things, and the two previously collaborated on Fringe.”

What? Why? We’re sorry Maniacs, but we need your thoughts on this unwanted TV spin off.

I wonder if it will star Patrick Swayze. Since he seems very qualified for the part.

@lazarus lol dude!!

A TV show based on a crappy movie? Robert, I agree with your opening statement 100%

Ok, I was just wondering how come in Ghost, and any other movie/ tv show where the character phases through everything, why they don't phase through the ground. They can walk on it, and even fall on the ground. mmm hmmmm..... think about that one Hollywood! Jiggabam!

Davewriter 11/13/2013 2:36:35 PM

So long as it isn't based upon Ghost Dad!

trollman 11/13/2013 3:15:34 PM

phasing through an object takes a force of will and concentration. because their natural inclination to NOT phase thru the floor is instinctive they just don't unless they choose to.

Vote with your remote control, don't watch and Ghost dies

 To everybody who is against this idea - DITTO.

I don't know, it's not a movie remake so tv might be more interesting to flesh out the Ghost world.  Might be better than US Being Human as to how they handle gh gh gh ghosts (Scooby flashback).

 NBC will be all over this
