Even more rare than this gem of a "sci/fi/comedy" is the reboot that is "wanted/actually good"

There won't be a Ghostbusters 3, and I say it's a good thing, but we all know the reboot is in the mail........hopefully we can let this classic be a classic and rest in peace for a while.

I know I am going to get bashed for saying this, but we would have had a Ghostbuster 3 a long time ago if Bill Murrary had just come off his high horse and done the damn movie. I know he has his own 'I'm an artist' thing going on now. But GB was probably the movie that got him to where he is today. I can respect the fact that he has moved on from GB and he wants to do other things and maybe he was right in saying that the scripts for GB3 have not been good so far, or maybe he is just sick and tired of being asked about it. But its just so frustrating to know that he has been the one holding up another movie.

A reboot was always going to happen, it just would have been nice to have a good conclusion to the story with the original team and actors.

I only want to see a passing of the torch.  No need for a reboot in my time.

I would have loved to see a Ghostbusters 3 and I was hoping for another movie with the original cast, but if they make a passing of the torch sort of movie then I can live with that.

Well as long as they don't have Shia LaPoof, Asston Kutcher or God forbid Justin Bieber in his acting debut. If they did make a reboot then I would prefer they hired all new unknown actors.

If they don't even make a reboot then it would be great if they at least made another Ghostbusters game with the original cast since that was an excellent game.

If Bieber were to star in a GB movie, i would seriously stab myself in the fukking eye.

LOL! Maybe Beiber can sing the Ghostbusters theme song for the soundtrack too!

But seriously, how about the Apatow gang?  Paul Rudd, Seth Rogan, Jay Baruchel, WIll Ferrell, Steve Carell, etc...

Complete reboot time. Sorry to much time has gone by. If there had never been a second one to sour these people maybe they would be more excited to come back as well. Hire talented young actors and start over.

Lets be honest if this movie was ever going to make tent pole "money" the old guys have got to go. Studios are in the money making buisness. I am going to go out on a limb and say based on avergae age of these guys, have never carried a tent pole movie. Ghost Busters has cash cow printed all over it. What kid wants to play with Grandpa ghostbuster.

I really hope they don't make another GhostBusters. One is a classic, and 2 was OK, but that's where it needs to stop. I can't see these three old fogeys pulling off the same stuff they did in the first 2. It just wouldn't work. Let the movies be what they are and don't make another one or reboot it either.

Seems like there are plenty of teams to root for to me:

The Avengers

The Expendibles

Guardians of the Globe are hitting theaters soon.

Hellboy 3 might get made soon.

The Hobbit

The Hunger Games

On TV you've got all kinds of teams to root for. My point is, nobody is really lamenting the fact that this film may never get made. It's my opinion that they should just let it rest. So many people have already stated why, so I won't bore anyone with my reasons, but I don't see any way this would turn out well.
