G.I. JOE Renews War With Cobra

The 12" G.I. JOE action figure line relaunch has been so successful that Hasbro has decided to relaunch their classic 3 3/4 inch figure line that focused on the never ending battle between the Joes and the insidious Cobras.
This new line of figures is timed to celebrate the "Real American Hero" figures' 20th anniversary. The toys will hit stores in January 2002 and will reintroduce such popular characters as Duke, Snake-Eyes, Storm Shadow, Cobra Commander and others in new, meticulously detailed sculpts.
The initial wave of figures will be in six different "G.I. JOE Vs. COBRA" double figure packs. No breakdowns as to which characters will be in each pack were revealed, yet.
In addition, for those of you still nostalgic for the old figures, there will be a special "Then & Now" double pack released. This first set will focus on Cobra Commander.
Vehicles that will compliment the new series' launch will include a transport vehicle, helicopter and a submarine.
