goldeneyez beat me to the punch: Great Doc Ock, horrible Rhino. Giamatti's got the intelligent cadence and could pull it off very well, IMHO.

Like peeps have been saying, the Rhino should be a physical prescence. They could even raise his IQ a few points to make him not comically idiotic. Have him be a side villian; maybe start off the movie with Spidey doing an epic battle against the Rhino & destroying a few city blocks before putting him away. Hell, have him working for the Goblin.

WTF.... i was really hoping for another stab at Venom or Carnage..... RHINO???!!!

BunyonSnipe 1/29/2013 9:07:52 AM

Two villains could work as long as Rhino was Electro's henchman, in which case you expect them to got for a WWE guy or something...

Yeah that is the thing. Rhino has always been a shade above retard level intelligence. I can't really buy anyone being smart gettings into a suit that makes you look like a fat ass packaderm.

I have a terrible feeling that that will make Rhino by splicing Giamatti's DNA with that od a rhino just like in the video game...

@Laz - ROFL!

I love the Rhino and I agree with the rest of you.  But Giamatti is fat...his face is fat.  Even if they stuck a big muscle suite around him his fat face would shine through.  And his voice is squeaky and high.  The Rhino needs a deep voice.  Giamatti is great, but not the Rhino.

Need qualifications.

1. Ability to play or act mentally retarded

2. Large muscular physique

3. Charismatic personality

4. Good acting resume and name recognition

He meets all the qualifications. Especially acting retarded, althought maybe it is not an act.

He already looks like he had a stroke. Seriously Sly is the Rhino.

Come on you know I am right.

I like Paul Giamatti. Yeah... not my first choice for the Rhino.

But then I remember the howls of protest when Michael Keaton was announced as Batman.

Agreed with violator14.

This would be a great opportunity to show Venom in a more worthy portrayal. In the same way that Chris Nolan presented a more compelling Two-Face in The Dark Knight.

I'm not excited about Jamie Foxx being a super hero or a super villain.
