Welcome to another edition of the Countdown, where we list the games of the present that will probably later be used on next generation as downloadable content. Just think in about ten years from now where you will probably be able to download all of these games onto the consoles of tomorrow. Do let that stop you from playing them now otherwise the consoles of tomorrow may never come. This is your host Captain Gordon giving you the nod and the low down of what to expect for this week so please sit back and enjoy.

Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 (PS2) - Battle the best in the land with intense anime-style ninja fighting with over 30 playable characters and 16 unique stages. Choose from more than 60 exciting missions, test your skills with challenging mini-games or play through the anime storyline in the all-new Ultimate Road mode. Earn money and points to unlock tons of bonus content as you unleash your chakra and ascend the ranks on your way to becoming the greatest ninja of all. All you need to know is that the first Ultimate Ninja turned out to be a pretty fun fighting game, so the second one should expand on that same experience.

Raw Danger (PS2) - Players must think on their feet and utilize creative survival skills to have any hope of seeing their family again. Body temperature and health will decrease when players are wet or in cold weather too long so they must find places to warm themselves and scrape together meals from whatever they can find. All you need to know is that it sounds like an urban version of Lost in Blue so you might as well jump into this alternative survival game.

PQ 2 (PSP) - PQ is back and juiced up with more mind-bending puzzles and features. PQ2 is built around the same defining feature as PQ1, the PQ scoring system. Your PQ score is calculated based on the number of moves and the speed with which you complete the puzzles. All you need to know is that if you enjoyed the first one you will most likely going to enjoy the second one as well. If you have not played it why not try the first one out? It’ll be cheaper.

Rainbow Six: Vegas (PSP) - Finally they port of the Rainbow Six Vegas game to the PSP.

Tenchu Z (Xbox 360) - Become the ultimate ninja assassin in Tenchu Z. Eliminate unsuspecting guards using stealth kills and your favorite ninja weaponry, or go straight for the big boss. Use sound, sight, and scent detection as you search out your opponents and unlock deadly new moves and weapons. All you need to know is that Ninjas on the Xbox is far from a new concept, but that could also be said for the Tenchu series. Ninjas have made a nice home on the system so this game should push the boundaries into the next level.

Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (Xbox 360 - PS3 - DS) - Marvel’s first family of Super Heroes face its greatest challenge yet as the enigmatic, intergalactic herald Silver Surfer, comes to Earth to prepare it for destruction. As Silver Surfer races around the globe wreaking havoc, the team must unravel the mystery of the Silver Surfer and confront the surprising return of their mortal enemy Dr. Doom before all hope is lost. All you need to know is that it is another franchise game and since the first Fantastic Four game was kind of tame this one may make up for it.

Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree (Wii) - The game will test player’s brains with fun problems and allow people of any age to play together. The Wii Remote controller's hands-on control makes playing a cinch. Multiplayer versus and co-op play modes also have been added allowing players to use the title as a brain-training exercise or a raucous party game. All you need to know is that if you do not have a DS and either Brain Age or Big Brain you should pick it up for the Wiii... If you have been able to secure one yet. Just because I love these types of games I will give it the nod for game of the week.

Time Ace (DS) - In 1914, eccentric scientist Dr. Hugo Clock created a time machine with the plans of going back in time and preventing World War I from happening and preventing millions of needless deaths. However his sneaky assistant Dr. Klaus Scythe hijacks his time machine with a plan to acquire an arsenal of history's most powerful weapons in order to rule the world. Now Dr. Clock must pursue Scythe through time and prevent him from unleashing the aerial war machines of the future on an unsuspecting era. All you need to know is that it is one of the few flying DS games and that alone merits you buying it so that it can welcome a few more.

Zendoku (DS) - Zendoku is a martial arts-themed puzzle battling game based on the enormously popular logic game Sudoku. Experience fun and intuitive puzzle-battle gameplay in numerous single and multiplayer game modes. Challenge and defend yourself against a range of engaging martial arts-themed characters to win battles and advance. All you need to know is that if you want a new spin on Sudoku puzzles you need not look any further.

Well this summed this week in gaming and luckily it was pretty diverse. Anyone that wants to buy a game should be able to pick up at least one of these titles. There were not as many blockbusters as I would have liked to see, but not every week can be that way. Big Brain Academy should be a solid title for those craving wacky Wii games since it is one of those games that trains you to be a better player. Anyways, this is Captain Gordon signing off.
