Still here?
It seems that rumors of a super-sized robot appearing in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen were true. At least, according to the fan site TFW2005, which has confirmed the appearance of the robot Devastator in the next installment hitting theaters next summer. Here's the information that they passed along.
- Seven construction vehicles merge to form Devastator
- Devastator has lots of upper body strength, like a gorilla
- Not just green, some of the vehicles are red and yellow
- The previously Long Haul concept art by Josh Nizzi is legit
The second film stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas, Rainn Wilson and Jennifer Alden. Director Michael Bay is behind the cameras, based on a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Ehren Kruger.
Not much is known about the plot concept itself other than the enemy being a comic-based robot dubbed "The Fallen". There have been reports that as many as 20 robots will appear in this next installment with two confirmed additions of Arcee and Soundwave. Sam (Shia LaBeouf) is in college during the events of the sequel.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen will hit standard and IMAX theaters June 26, 2009.
