Gibson's PASSION announced for home video

20th Century Fox Home Entertainment has selected August 31 as the release date for THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST on home video. The VHS/DVD will sell for $24.98 and $29.98, respectively.
What, if any, bonus features will be available on the DVD version of the film haven't been made available just yet, but we do know that the disc's sound score will be in 5.1 Dolby Digital and 5.1 DTS. An English subtitle feature will be avilable on the VHS release while the DVD will have both English and Spanish subtitle options.
The film, which chronicles the final 12 hours in the life of Jesus Christ, has earned more than $360 million dollars at the domestic box office and is currently the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
