Gintama is set to return to the airwaves in Japan according to the TV Tokyo site with new episodes beginning on April 4th of this coming new season. The series has been on hiatus for awhile now and the network has been running repeats of the series with new opening and ending songs to keep people coming back. Crunchyroll has all 201 episodes available on their site and it's likely that we'll see the series return there when it begins again. Sentai Filmworks has been releasing DVDs of the series and has just finished releasing the first years worth with 49 episodes now available for purchase.
Plot concept: Gintama is a story of a handyman named Gintoki, a samurai with no respect for rules set by the invaders, who's ready to take any job to survive. He and his gang, however, are also among the very few who have not forgotten the morale of a swordsman. Wherever they go, all they do is to create troubles. Troubles that they of course try to solve, but in reality...

YAY this is welcome news. I own 3 dvds of Gintama and waiting for the 4th to ship out to me. :3
