With Thanksgiving upon us next week, our columnists have been busy trying to come up with a way to integrate Thanksgiving into this week's Gamers' Thumb. There aren't many video games dealing with turkeys, unfortunately, or many that deal with pilgrims traveling to the new world either. With not much success, James and Troy have decided that they'd talk about the games recently released that they are thankful for.
season still, so MADDEN NFL 2004 is still close to my Playstation 2 at all times. While I have been frustrated with it as of late (repeated controller malfunctions), the game is excellent and really is the best football game ever designed. Other than that, PROJECT GOTHAM RACING 2 has kept my attention and so has AMPED 2. Both games are considerably better than their previous incarnations and give the Xbox some serious hit for this Christmas. Of course, FINAL FANTASY X-2 came out earlier this week and looks great. From the small amount of time I've been able to spend with it so far, I have a feeling that a lot of my gaming efforts may be concentrated on it. Also, I keep waiting for my copy of WILD DIVINE, a relaxation game developed by a former Buddhist monk. The game looks so cool, as it is played using a bio-feedback system, teaching you to alter your brain activity, blood pressure, muscle tension, heart rate and other critical bodily functions to play." "There is a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. JAK II, RATCHET II, SOCOM II, EyeToy, FINAL FANTASY X-2, MEDAL OF HONOR: RISING SUN, LORD OF THE RINGS RETURN OF THE KING
and MARIO KART DOUBLE DASH!!. I'm swamped in games, and those are the highly anticipated titles. Other great stuff is out there too, like MARIO AND LUIGI, ONIMUSHA TACTICS, FIRE EMBLEM, SECRET WEAPONS OVER NORMANDY and the list goes on and on. This has been an awesome holiday season." - James

Also, on a side-note, both James and Troy are dog lovers and have found a site that they both would like to plug in the column this week. The site is http://www.helpshelterpets.org/. Be sure to check it out if you're an animal lover.
The price of HALO has finally gone down to $29.99... FINAL FANTASY XII will be set in Ivalice, the world of FINAL FANTASY TACTICS ADVANCE... TECMO BOWL is now available for some cell phones and other mobile devices...
being the week of Thanksgiving, the video game industry seems to shut down for the most part. There really isn't a ton coming out this week, although there are a few titles that have caught our eye. DRAGONBALL Z: TAIKETSU for the Game Boy Advance comes out this week, as does XIII for the Xbox and GameCube. SPY HUNTER 2 is released for the Xbox, and MAX PAYNE 2: THE FALL OF MAX PAYNE makes its way onto the Xbox and Playstation 2.
