What is going on over at Marvel Entertainment? After the sad news that Edgar Wright as bowed out of the Ant-Men movie (seen here), Latino Review’s El Mayimbe is reporting that Drew Goddard (Cabin in the Woods) is now off the Daredevil Netflix Series.

According to sources, award winning writer/director Drew Goddard has left Marvel's Daredevil. Due to the fact that it is a holiday, calls to his reps at UTA can't be returned till Tuesday at the earliest. Goddard was supposed to write and direct the first episode of Daredevil, while also serving as series Showrunner and Executive Producer for the 13-episode series premiering on Netflix in 2015”.

Latino Review is right, it is the holiday weekend and we won’t get an answer or a confirmation on this until Tuesday. Drew Goddard was a self proclaimed Daredevil nut. If this new is true, it marks the first stumble block for the series.

It sucks to lose him but answer to that is simple. He was offered a boatload of cash by Sony for Sinister Six.

It's too bad. Daredevil has potential. Sinister Six does not.

Money talks.

Daredevil is stumbling around blind!

I hope it's all about money but I find that difficult to accept. Working for Marvel/Disney would open a lot of doors down the road.

Maybe it is time to start worrying about Marvel's hierarchy and the control they exact over everything. I love the MCU continuity but at some time you have to loosen the reins and let creators create. The guys in suits ain't directing for a reason

He didn't want to be a cog in the machine.  Been telling you all was up.

Why do I keep getting FORBIDDEN ACCESS to post stuff?

::Facepalm::  And then it posts my comment twice!  BAH!

Anyhoo...another site says that the guy who directed Starz' Spartacus is taking over and that Goddard will still exec produce and has written the first two episodes already.

::crosses fingers and hits the add button::

You have to be a cog in the machine if you want to be part of the MCU continuity,  they know that shit coming in. Just takes more effort and brains.

It appears that ElBaz is right and he is still attached as some sort of executive producer like Woodye said.

Doesn't matter anyhow. This is just a TV show. The dude wants to direct feature films.

If anything is learned here is that shows still go on. Walking Dead is still pretty strong after getting rid of Frank Darabont in season 1 and Glen Mazara in season 2.

They already have a replacement in Steven DeKnight.

This guy has a ton of TV experience and created/produced one of my all time favorite shows, Spartacus.

In good hands for sure.
