Activision Value, a division of video game distributor Activision, announced that it has released a PC game based on Warner Bros. GODS AND GENERALS movie, now in theaters. The game uses a first-person perspective to put the player in the boots of a captain on the bloody battlefields from the Civil War and as seen in the movie. Recreations of the battles of Bull Run, Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville are depicted.
"For the first time, players can experience the epic struggle of the Civil War through the eyes of an infantry soldier fighting in some of the most realistic Civil War battles ever seen in a PC game," said Patrick Kelly, Vice President of Studios, Activision Value Publishing.
The fields of battle range from urban surroundings to river crossings. Players can choose to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in the lines of soldiers or snipe from distances. Period weaponry including revolvers, rifles and knives are used by the player and authentic reload times are a factor in how you wage war. As well, the game features ten minutes of footage from GODS AND GENERALS.
The game is on sale now for a suggested retail price of $19.99, and it has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
