It's only fitting

This might be my favorite trailer for Godzilla. It has the classic Toho logo at the beginning. There is that incredible piece of music from 2001: A Space Odyssey playing. Finally, it supplies us with just a few more glimpses of the big green guy.

Synopsis: A giant radioactive monster called Godzilla awakens from its slumber to wreak destruction on its creators. Godzilla features Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Ken Watanabe (Batman Begins), Elizabeth Olsen (Silent House), and Juliette Binoche (The English Patient) are starring in the film, with David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad).

Godzilla arrives in theaters May 16th, in the US.

I'll agree, best trailer so far! Gorjira!

Anyone else think there may be a lot of flashbacks, possibly to catch up Taylor's story? Unless the running time is 2hr-2hr    I don't know why but I keep thinking the film will only be about 1hr 40min

Daybreak0100  I agree.  I too, don't know why you think the film will be about 1 hr 40 min.

I read that this movie explains the origins of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch!

With a purposeful grimace and a terrible sound
He pulls the spitting high tension wires down

Helpless people on a subway train
Scream bug-eyed as he looks in on them

He picks up a bus and he throws it back down
As he wades through the buildings toward the center of town

I read that it's not really Godzilla but the Hulk in a Godzilla suit, and he's pissed that he's not getting another solo movie.

Just the fact that the narration pronounced it "Gojira" makes this the best trailer thus far. Let's hope this performs much better than Pacific Rim at the box office. We would love to see some Mecha-Godzilla or dare I say it, Mecha-King-Ghidora?!?!?!?!

Godzilla really reminded me of the original.  Trailer was cool though.
