Going BALLISTIC
By: Chris WyattDate: Thursday, October 24, 2002
It's a cold, gray winter morning in Vancouver, and Antonio Banderas is freezing his butt off.
"Oh yeah, the temperature is low, low, low," says the actor, nodding and seeing his own breath in the frigid air. "But what do I care? I get to be a secret agent!"
This is the set of BALLISTIC: ECKS VS. SEVER and there's a lot of that kind of sentiment going around. The whole production has an aura of energy around it, like everyone's excited to be on the job.
"This is a special movie," confirms Banderas' co-star Lucy Liu. "I suppose everybody says that about every film they work on, but I really feel it about this one. It's a unique blend of elements. It's great, straightforward filmmaking AND it's high-intensity, entertaining action. In my opinion, you can't really beat that."
