Finally, Jews everywhere will have a pop culture equivalent to SHAFT and SUPERFLY. At least that's the spin being given to THE HEBREW HAMMER, which just lined up Adam Goldberg (SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, A BEAUTIFUL MIND).
The film, to be directed by Jonathan Kesselman from his USC short film, is an action comedy chronicling the adventures of Mordechai and his main squeeze Esther as they try to save Hanukkah from Santa Clause.
Shooting starts in April.
