This looks absolutely incredible! My wife and I are interested just based on the poster.

The books were great but didn't capture me like Harry Potter or Eragon did. I'm still looking forward to seeing the movies though. I just hope christians and catholics don't start making a big deal about the subject matter and boycotting the film. I'm a christian and I still enjoyed them. It's fantasy and shouldn't be taken as an attack on one's faith. I can't wait to see Nicole Kidman in this. She was the perfect person to play her role. And the polar bear Bjorn looks sick!

I can only speculate that the movie adaptations will tone down the spritual aspects of the books. I agree with ddiaz, Nicole Kidman is perfect for the Coulter role. I think Daniel Craig is also a good choice for Asriel. Everything about this movie looks great so far!

Poster looks good, and the casting sounds right. I'd like to see a trailer for this before I get too excited, though...

To be fair ddaz Pull man (unlike say J.K. Rowling) has invited controversy by making blatant attacks on Christianity. Still, I certainly plan to see this, just as I did The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, even though I'm a pagan. Good stories are good stories.

for some reason, and this goes back to when i read the books originally, i always pictured brian cox (xmen) as Asriel. i know age-wise it wouldn't work too well with Kidman, but...i dunno, i just thought/think he was/would be perrect casting for the part.
