Is there anything in there that isn't on PPV (such as HBO) or network television? Or is it just that easy to forget about cable and a show like Battlestar Galactica?

It'd be nice to see Battlestar get nominated for something. Atleast for writing, which has been outstanding.

There's a few HBO/Showtime shows up there, but not much. Weeds & Tsunami.

Okay, that's that. BSG is nowhere close to good as even half of the shows that are nominated. So don't go there.
As far as the noms. I hope they don't do anything stupid like have a show like Heroes(which so far is the newest FAD) beat out shows that have a solid fan base, and have lasted longer than most shows last on ABC. For example Lost, who is already losing fan base while 24 continues strong.

Plus, I hope they give the award for best male in drama to Hugh Laurie, because that man can act. If you don't believe me then check out his acting in Black Adder, then compare to House, you will be amazed at the range and focus this man has.

Here's my winners:

24: How can you NOT vote for this show?

Patricia Arquette: Like Evangeline Lilly should even be ON the list. Can you say "wooden"?

Hugh Laurie: This guy acts circles around GOOD actors.

Weeds: It's a tough call over "The Office", but somebody's gotta do it.

Mary-Louise Parker: Again, there's not much competition, but Parker deserves this.

Zach Braff: He narrowly beats out Steve Carrell.

Elizabeth: This miniseries SOUNDLY beats everything in its path.

Helen Mirren: What a classy, living legend.

Chiwetel Ejiofor: If you caught him in "Serenity", you'll know what I mean.

Toni Collette: Almost voted for Elizabeth Perkins 'cause "Weeds" is so strong...but I'm just a sucker for anything with Ms. Collette in it.

Jeremy Piven: Ah, the two Jeremys...Mr. Piven and Mr. Irons. It was close, but I gotta go with the closer.
