What? No love for the Sopranos or The Office?
I'm rooting for Denzel and American Gangster.

Never really paid much credence to any awards show. I mean everything is a matter of individual taste. Even a concensus by the critics doesn't make it a fact. But I would like to see No Country get some recognition.

I just finished re watching BSG season 3 and I half to say that Micheal Hogan (Tye) really should have been considered if not nominated. so many critics seem to love this show ( hell rollingstone calls it the best show on tv for god sake) and yet they get ignored. I love House, but as far as Drama's go there's no contest between it and BSG.

hanso I to am surprised about the sopranos, though maybe they still have that bad taste in there mouth from the "no Ending" thing

Lots of "meh" this year. Looks like I am waiting for MTV video awards again, the last thing that network can do right.

I hate seeing Sweeny on there when it's not even at the theaters yet.

Looks like this is a 10 min show on FF on the DVR.

No 24, BSG, Journeyman, Eureka, Dresden maybe? Smallville?

As much as I`d like American Gangster to get some recognition, I`m thinking it will be No Country for Old Men , The Coens and Javiar Bardem that get the awards. I haven`t seen the movie but the trailer looks damn good. I`m also pulling for David Duchovny and Californication. That show just simply kicks ass. Hank Moody Rules!!!

I'm glad that Damages got some love here. I saw about half the season and wasn't able to keep up with the second half, but what I was able to catch was top-notch. It's like The Shield, except it's about a lawyer going after a dirty businessman. Definitely going to check it out on DVD when it's released.

As for 24, I'm glad it WASN'T nominated at all. Season 6, in a word, sucked. The opening 4-hour block was superb, but after the nuke went off the story went astray. The cast was far too large and there was no focus at all. It's a shame that Season 7 may not air until 2009 because everything I've read to date sounds like it was going to fix all the problems that Season 6 had.

I sure would like to know why Lost was left off here! I understand why the likes of BSG is left off since it's still too sci-fi for the tastes of the voters, but Lost fixed virtually all its faults leftover from Season 2 during the second half of Season 3. Oh well...
