Golden Globes for Ghost World

GhostWorld continues to draw critical praise in the form of awardnominations. The movie is the recipient of two more nods with the announcementof the 2001 Golden Globe Awards.
Thora Birch isnominated in the "Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture -Musical or Comedy." She faces Cate Blanchett (Bandits),Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge), Reese Witherspoon (LegallyBlonde) and Renee Zellweger (Bridget Jones's Diary).
Also nominatedis Steve Buscemi for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role ina Motion Picture." Buscemi's competition is Jim Broadbent (Iris), Hayden Christensen (Life As A House), Ben Kingsley (SexyBeast), Jude Law (A.I. Artificial Intelligence) and JonVoight (Ali).
Buscemi hasalready collected one award for his role as Seymour from theNew York Film Critics Circle. He's also receiveda nomination from the American Film Institute who recently announced itsnominees.
