The Review!
The top secret agent is back. Professional assassin by day and professional lover by night, Duke Togo is back on the job and what a job it is. Once again Golgo is called to save the world but this time personal feelings come into play as our killer dissevers his target is more than he was ready to accept. Will he pull it off? Well, you'll just have to watch and see. I have been a big fan of the manga and the anime since first being introduced to the NES game: Golgo13 Top Secret Agent then later the Mafat Conspiracy back in the day, so when this first animated Golgo 13 anime was released on to DVD, I knew I had to have it.

CONTENT: NO SPOILERS
Golgo is hired to wack the Queen Bee, a total hottie who leads a group of rebels from Central America. Her plan is freedom, but her past is catching up with her. The Queen Bee's father, a former senator is up for election as President of the US of A. Full of twists and turns, the Queen Bee is revealed. Be advised that even though this is not a hentai title, there is an abundance of extreme Queen Bee fan service included on this disc.

AUDIO/VIDEO:
The disc's audio was amazing as far as the selection of language available as it is the first disc with this many options as far as language selection. You have the choice of English, and Japanese. Sound was plentiful with Dolby 5.1, and almost overwhelming amounts of base nearly made hearing the character's speak difficult. Video was chrisp and represents the style of animation of only a few years ago, before the near total use of CG. The video was by far better than expected and I did not see any degradation of the quality or any noticable rainbowing.

EXTRAS - COVER:
The extra section was a joke considering that this is suppose to be a "special Edition" I expected a little bit more than an interview with the director and plugs for other animes, which are on VHS. Come on this is an SE after all. N the way, a little effort would have been nice for the menus, oh well at least they worked. At least the cover to this DVD was eye catching.

VERDIC:
Bottom line is, if you like animes like Perfect Blue, and Kite you will love the excessive, plot, violence and sex galore that goes hand in hand with a Duke Togo flick, then you will not be disappointed with this title. You go Golgo.
