Gollum actor becomes Garner's new boss

After his breakout role playing the CGI Gollum in THE TWO TOWERS, actor Andy Serkis won't be needing to wear a motion capture suit for his next gig. Serkis has been cast in the fantasy/comedy 13 GOING ON 30, starring Jennifer Garner (ALIAS), Mark Ruffalo and Samuel Ball. The film sounds like the female version of BIG: on her thirteenth birthday, a girl named Jenna plays a kissing game inside a closet which results in her being humiliated. After at first refusing to emerge from the closet, when Jenna does come out she's now residing inside her 30-year-old body.

Serkis will play the adult Jenna's boss while Ball plays her boyfriend, a member of the New York Rangers hockey team. The Revolution Studios film is being directed by Gary Winick.
