Ben Affleck's directorial debut is about to hit theaters (limited release) on October 19, 2007. A first look at this rated R crime drama has finally hit the web courtesy of Yahoo trailers. GONE BABY GONE is based off the source material written by author Dennis Lehane(MYSTIC RIVER) and it centers on two young private detectives who are hired to take a closer look at the mysterious disappearance of a little girl. They soon discover that nothing is what it seems. Ultimately, they will have to risk everything -- their relationship, their sanity, and even their lives -- to find a little girl-lost.

Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman also co-star in the film. To see the trailer, click right here. After this one hits theaters, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will be co-writing another screenplay for the first time since they won oscars for GOOD WILL HUNTING

This has to the best crime series I've ever read. Denis Lehane is the new master in the field. It's abou time people start making more movies out of his works. Eastwood did an exceptional job on Mystic River and though I have my hesitations because Ben Affleck never directed before and the fact that he's Ben Affleck, I think based on the preview he can pull it off. Casey is a way better actor than him so I'm glad that that's who he chose to star in the film rather than himself. The rest of the cast kicks ass too.

Sounds interesting.

Looks pretty good, and I do love watching Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris chew scenery. Depending on release date, this may be a rental.

Man, that looks first rate. Apparently, "Good Will Hunting" wasn't a fluke.
