I guess Gonzo's back from it's so-called grave, mad as hell at the pedophilic otaku-base, and isn't gonna take it anymore. More power to 'em. :)
Fans of Last Exile have a reason to be very happy today as word has come down via Anime News Network that through the exhibitor notes at the Tokyo International Anime Fair, Gonzo is set to launch a new Last Exile series in 2011 called Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-. ANN noted that last March they had learned at that TAF that Gonzo was interested in pursuing that project, saying in particular they wanted to take advantage of the new 3D televisions that were entering the market and they even showed off a 3D version of some Last Exile material.
This new series is set to be different than the original one from 2003 in that it will have new characters, mechanical designs and characters though it appears that Range Murata is involved in this in some way as at least one illustration of an original character has been show before.

i have mixed feelings on this one because I loved the origional this one is a wait and see. it could go either way- I felt the same when a new hellsing series was announced and that turned out to be a really good move so you never know when it comes to anime
