I dig the story. If done right, ie not alot of CGI, this could be dope!

I've heard of this book but my local comic shop has no idea where to get it. I'd love to check it out.

Oh I know, 'cause CGI totally ruined Lord of the Rings, King Kong, 300, The Matrix, Sin City etc.

CGI can be a very useful tool if used properly. Plenty of amazing films have implemented a lot of computer generated imagery. It's all in how it's done. Just as any two works of art using the same medium may differ in quality.

I know it's fashionable to hate on some things, but CGI isn't going anywhere. It costs infinitely less than standard FX and in many cases it allows filmmakers to spend their budgets on decent casts and better writing. If your love of a film is hinged on how much CGI is implemented before the film is even shot, I'd say you're bound to be disappointed more often than not.

Maybe Flint meant hope theres not bad CGI. I know of quite a few films that needed to maybe spend a few extra bucks on good CGI and not casting big name actors like Ben Kingsley (A Sound of Thunder). CGI is deff a good thing in movies as long as its QUALITY. But in a zombie flick you need good conventional makeup effects 1st then good CGI next.

CGI will never go away, which I'm totally fine with. Just make it good.

Thanx Darkknight, that's exactly what I meant. Good conventional makeup THEN good CGI. I should've elaborated more on the point I was trying to make. Next time I will take my time explaining my point inorder to avoid confusion. And I think I'll start right now:

GO FUCK YOURSELF SCYTHEOFLUNA. Clear enough?

ps... scythe, you're avatar is quite gay

Yes, and CGI also works very well, ala, Kingdom of the Crystal Skull....Psych. While I won't reduce myself to name calling, I agree with Flint and Scythe. CGI if done right (Pearl Harbor, Serenity, X-Men II), is awesome. If not (Kingdom of the Crystal Skull), it is horrible. This does sound like a cool story.
