I don't understand why it's so hard for WB to get this straight.  Nolan's Batman movies are good, but I'm really tired of them being heralded as the greatest comic book adaptations ever.  They're their own thing, and they have zero place in the larger DC continuity, and nothing about them is compatible with JLA.  JGL settled for an invented character in the weakest of the three Nolan films.  He should have held out for a better character.   He's a great actor, but putting in another Batman movie would just be stupid.

Preach it scytheofluna. I am with you 100%.  New Batman for a new age of DC movies.  DC and WB need a clean slate and the new Man of Steel movie is the perfect opportunity to do just that.  New Superman, new Justice League, and a new Batman.  And I still say that the list for the new cast of Batman is the best I have seen yet by far.

Man, DCWB should just stick with the animated features. They should just hire the animated think tank, and casting department (Andrea) to make a live action film. Even the voice actors carry more weight in a wonder woman movie than any live action stunt they have been feeding us. Dumb bastards.

Hard to say how they should cast the JLA movie without knowing which direction they are going to take it in.  Are they going to go dark, semi-real, and mature like the C. Nolan Batman trilogy in which case Gordon-Levitt would be fine or will they do light, comic nerd, family entertainment like the Avengers which would be better served with the return of Bruce Wayne and a different actor.

One of the things I like about this website is reading comments like the ones where guys argue about who should have bigger muscles Batman or Superman.  It's like arguing if Garfield is a cooler cat than Heathcliff.  The "comments section" never fails to crack me up and momentarily take my mind off all the crap I have to deal with in the real world.

News flash just came in over the wire. WB has signed acclaimed director Joel Schumacher to direct the anticipated JLA movie. On a side note, all costumes will be anatomically correct and equipped with nipples. :)

@Laz - LMAO! Nipples on Batman. HAHAHAHAHA. What a joke.

Now if they did nipples on Wonder Woman this could have promise.

Has the Villain for Justice League Been Revealed?

Darkseid.  Now, the folks at Latino Review are saying they've learned the villain will be none other than Darkseid. They cite no source, so treat this strictly as a rumor for now.

Has the villain been revealed? There is no script is there? Scyth I don't think you understand how Hollywood works. JGL didn't "hold out for a better character" because 1, he had a relationship with Chris Nolan from doing Inception and Chris Nolan brought half that cast to TDKR, and 2, because he was a great character - no need to hold out for a better one. And yes I think Bruce Wayne should be physically comparable to Clark Kent.

lazarus 12/4/2012 12:21:24 PM

Yes Darksied will be the villian but expressed in the same way as in Smallville. A vague depression that manifests itself through Lindsey Lohan. I think EVERY member (hehehe I said member) of the league should have nipple on their costumes. And we should have the Wonder Twins so Flash can get busted for staturory rape of an underage alien. :)

It would really suck to have a Justice League movie and have Batman and Superman in live action on screen together for the fist time and not have the Bruce and Clark dynamic.
