Gotham Knight Ranks High

Little surprise but Home Media Retailing Magazine is reporting that according to the Nielsen Videoscan reports, the Batman: Gotham Knight release hit #1 on the DVD charts and #2 on the Blu-ray charts, only outdone by the long awaited release of Batman Begins on the format. In past years, the "mainstream" anime releases have always dominated, such as Animatrix and the various Ghibli movies that received a theatrical showing, so seeing this release hit the top spot isn't a surprise, nor that it will likely be ranked as one of the best sellers of 2008 for the anime category.
