Being that today is Batman Day, Warner Brothers and FOX have released two new trailers for their upcoming TV Series GOTHAM. The first trailer is titled “The Legend Begins”. The second, a bit more in depth, is called “One Crime Will Unite Two Partners”.

Synopsis: Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world's greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon's story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world's most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker?

Wil Wheaton, of “The Wil Wheaton Project”, has also released his own trailer for GOTHAM. Check it out below.

GOTHAM premieres MONDAY SEPT. 22nd, 2014 on FOX.

That Fish Mooney one is hilarious and what I think everytime I see somebody complain about stuff like this.

My assumption is that she will be dead by the time the series is over and Batman has come to Gotham. The first thing I thought of when I heard her name is that Penguins eat Fish, so I'm guessing Oswald will eventually kill her and take over her club and criminal organization. Seems obvious, but haven't seen the thought pop up anywhere on any boards or comment threads...

The Fish Mooney was classic. I agree, the nerds gotta let it go, other people have the controls sit back and enjoy or turn the channel. I thoght I made that comment about the Penquin taking her spot some day, maybe I never posted it, but it seems to line up. If you like the show keep coming back, same Gotham, same Gotham channel.

I'm not bothered by Fish Mooney, nothing about this show gets my nerd dander up, I just can't seem to muster up any interest in watching it.  At first it looked like it was going to be a police procedural with the villain of the week being a comic book psycho and that seemed disinteresting enough but the preview showing lil' Catwoman and lil' Poison Ivy has put me right off. Remember Muppet Babies?  I loved me some Muppet Babies, but I don't think the appeal is going to carry over into Bat Babies.

The Fish Mooney one IS great, but not for the reasons most of you seem to think...

BunyonSnipe 7/24/2014 12:58:27 AM

And anyway REAL nerds aren't THAT upset, becase they understand how parallel worlds work in comics, so it's not a big deal...

Although I would have prefered an ACTUAL Batman TV series, but you can't have any... everything.

BunyonSnipe 7/24/2014 1:09:33 AM

Let's face it, if Mooney gets to the end of the pilot, let alone the first season it will be a miracuru...
