Gordon: The Series??? Are you effing kidding???

F@#k now they've opened this door, I'm holding out for Alfred: The Early Years. Hopefully Marvel will see the gold in this and give us a sitcom centered around Aunt May.

GO HOME, DC... YOU'RE DRUNK!!!

I don't really see it as DC/WB playing catch up either - they had comercial success much longer than Marvel has - but I do agree that they have become somewhat reactionary to Marvel/Disney.  But if it's a good show, I would watch a younger Commissioner Gordon show.  Could be interesting if done right.

I just think Marvel/Disney produce a better product.  I have yet to see them produce turds like Batman and Robin, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, or Catwoman.

This smacks of desperation.  Gotham without Batman?  That means no Joker, no Two-Face, basically no villains from Batman's rogue's gallery.  What's left to sell it?  It'll be "Blue Bloods" where all the background names are from comics?  FAIL.

DC needs to slow down and plan this well. Playing catch-up just feels like a desperate attempt to compete. I want to see DC soar in quality.

cant see it working without batman.

BunyonSnipe 9/25/2013 5:05:49 PM

I was hoping if Affleck was playing 'old' Bruce they would make a prequel TV sries with a younger guy playing the Bat in his prime. THAT is what I thought when I saw this headline...

This is dispointment personified!!!!!

I actually think in context this idea COULD work, Batman fighting his rogue's gallery on TV a decade before the events of MoS 2, by which time Batman is more like a mentor to the 'current' defenders of Gotham, Nightwing, Red Robin and Batgirl...

If Batman is still needed in Gotham how can he also be in the Justice League?
