GOTHIKA adds Berry, Cruz

THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER notes the addition of Halle Berry and Penelope Cruz to the cast of GOTHIKA, being produced at Robert Zemeckis' and Joel Silver's Dark Castle, past home of GHOST SHIP, 13 GHOSTS, and THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL.

The current budget for the supernaturally themed film is reportedly the highest of all these films. The tale concerns Berry's psychiatrist, who discovers she's being held as a patient in her place of employ, an asylum for the criminally insane. Naturally (or is that supernaturally), the lovely doctor discovers she's a tool in the hands of an evil spirit.
