With the addition of the characters, Supergirl aka Kara Zor-el &  Lara(Clark's mom), in the upcoming season 7 of SMALLVILLE, quite a few people had questions on what's happening with the show. Considering the show's next season is about to air next month on September 27, 2007 at 8:00 EST, it seemed like a good time to get some answers. Tony Whitt over If Magazine had a chance to discuss some of these questions with executive producer, Al Gough.

Some of the ones addressed were: In what capacity is Helen Slater (former Supergirl from the 1984 movie) appearing as Lara in the upcoming season? Is Dean Cain's new role a villain or a friend? Is JLA characters coming together again for any episodes of Season 7? Which JLA characters? Is there going to be a season 8?

Surprisingly, these questions were answered by executive producer Gough and a few photos of Laura Vandervoort(the new Supergirl in the show) were also thrown in...

Still no young Bruce Wayne in Season 7? It would be very interesting to see young, rich, cocky and suave Bruce Wayne interacting with young Clark Kent and giving young arrogant Lex Luthor a run for his money.

Wow, Laura Vandervoort is so hot.
I missed all last year so I'm probably going to be lost this season. My cable company just stopped carrying the network, and then they started with the last two episodes. I saw one of them, but I don't have a clue what's happening. So is the actor playing Lex wanting to leave the show or what?

It would be great for Bruce Wayne to interact with the Smallville players. Having Wayne Enterprises outbid Lex Corp on some sort of endeavor could lead to a bitter rivalry between the two as well.

Sadly however, WB will not allow Batman or Wonder Woman on the show. They should really reconsider, it would be great!

Though I am glad to see the Martian Manhunter and Green Arrow back this season.

Cant wait to look up her super skirt as she flies away,
DAMN! she's hot!
I'd love to see Bruce Wayne on the show.

Nah, Bats nor Wonder Woman won't be coming up anytime soon cause Warner won't let them use those characters. My guess is they bring Green Lantern or the Atom.
I thought this show would end this season, it's been on the air to long in my opinion.

WB went with the young Green Arrow thing instead, like anybody cares about Green Arrow???

ponyboy76 • Aug 30, 2007, 07:40am •
Its funny, because I didn`t give a damn about Green Arrow until after I watched him on Smallville. He`s actually a pretty interesting character in the cartoon and comics.

Sounds like Dean Cain is playing Vandal Savage, that immortal dude. Unless the rating go up and they do exceptionally well, I think this is the last season. I love the show and would like to see a season 8 but I doubt it. But you never know.

WB's excuse for not allowing Batman or Wonder Woman seems a little odd now that the JLA movie is supposedly going to be made while the Superman and Batman franchises are still cranking out movies.

i used to watch this show religiously. Haven't seen it regularly since season 4 i believe. It sounds like a lot of interesting stuff has been going on, i'll have to rent it and catch up, the super girl eye candy doesn't hurt either :)

Have DC and the powers-that-be officially said they will not allow Bruce Wayne on the show? I don't see why not at this point.
Originally I knew they didn't want to tread on the character before his movie came out. Now they might as well throw in Wayne for a few episodes, though they shouldn't have him realize Clark has superpowers at this point.
Wonder Woman might be a problem because she is immortal and wouldn't be in her teenage years like most of the cast. Still I wonder what JL member is going to guest star if not them?
I wanted to see Dean Cain guest star on Smallville for a long time. Glad it's finally happening.
Are belly shirts and daisy dukes going to be Supergirl's uniform on the show? I can live with that.
