Goyer on Bat-Rumors: "It's All B.S."

No movie caused more buzz this summer than 'The Dark Knight'. Naturally there's a lot of buzz about sequel, including the usual casting silliness as well as more recent talk of preproduction starting, and filming set for next February in Chicago.
Well, "It's all B.S.," according to David S. Goyer, the man who wrote the screenplay to 'Batman Begins' and developed the story for the sequel with director Christopher Nolan. "All of it," he reiterated for the MTV Splash Page blog.
"Chris and I haven't even talked about it. He quite understandably is taking a long, long vacation and wants to purge himself," Goyer said.
Which is not to say there's been no discussion of the storyline for part three along the way.
"We have mused here and there [but] I mean Chris is pretty much a one movie at a time kind of guy," Goyer said. "I wish I could tell you more. There really isn't anything to tell. If and when [Chris is] ready to talk - we'll talk."
There you have it. Take those bat-rumors with a grain of salt. A Batman sequel is inevitable but just not a front-burner project for Chris Nolan at the moment.
What do you want to see in a Dark Knight sequel? Which villain (of villains should appear)?

I don't envy Nolan, he's gonna have a lot of pressure with Batman 3 and the odds are what he ends up with won't be as good as TDK.
A lot of franchises have failed come the 3rd time around and I'm not just talking super hero films (X3, Batman Forever, Superman 3) but other franchises like Godfather 3, Aliens 3, Scream 3 etc.
I think Nolan will end up delivering the best super hero 2nd sequel ever created in the history of the wooooooorld! but it won't be as good as TDK.
