That list of contenders for the role of Captain America SUCKS!!!!!  They're all a bunch of pretty-boy hacks.  A comedian from the Office?  Some douche from "Gossip Girl"?!?!  Are you f***ing KIDDING ME?!?!  Holy shit.  How did we go from Robert Downey Jr and Ed Norton to rejects from some pretty-boy parade of fashion models for skinny jeans?  Holy sh*t!!  Please, God, don't let it be true.

We need Josh Holloway.  He's got the chin, the build, and the voice for Cap.

I'm over Superman.  Chris Nolan needs to focus on Batman 3.

@GLCorpsMember - Oop! Good catch. :)

Latino Review is the worst entertainment website I've ever been to. Read ONE review from there and it was so full of Bigoted racist hate I decided to never go back.

chinga tu madre, Latino Review!

Superman is over. DC is trying to rush the movie out to beat a court deadline.

@CaptAmerica04 - What are you smoking??  Josh Holloway!?!?!  I'd rather they put in Jensen Akless as someone on here keeps posting.  I have no idea who they should get for Cap but i'm leaning towards persuing a relative unknown for the role.  not someone in the Superstar Hemisphere.  I did kind of like the idea of Matt Damon but his size and lack of interest rules that out.

the actor for cap needs to have that commading presence or it won't be believable. this guy needs to be able to say "avengers assemble" without us laughing. he needs to be someone that can actually share the stage with actors like rdj, norton, and sam jackson. if it's someone from the CW, it will fail.

I can't say I've been wowed by the list of people circling the role of Cap but I applaud them thinking outside the box. The question on whether whoever can stand up to Downey and, especially Norton, is irrelevant especially for the first movie. Stark, and Thor for that matter, frequently did, and do, what they want whether Cap likes it or not.   Has Marc Blucas been mentioned lately? I admittedly confuse him with Ackles and he basically played the role on Buffy. I think he is just a smidge too old though...

Goyer writing Superman sounds fine to me. Since he was a producer on Threshold and, I think, Fast Forward, he's been involved with more than just pseudo-dark heroes. I have never noticed his dialogue being horrible and, as a writer myself,  I'm a huge fan of dialogue...

Messiahcomplex & CaptainAmerica04- I agree w/ u completely. No skinny douchebag prettyboys please!! Someone the other heroes can respect and take commands from, instead of looking at each other and laughing. lol

I'm cool with Marvel's approach. I love that they're going for an unknown or barely known name. The character Captain America is going to make some one a huge star, RDJ was well known but it was his turn as Iron Man that turned him into a top level A star.

"pretty boy" is a matter of perception anyway. For the most part we're all good with Hemsworth as THOR but he's a pretty boy, so was Hugh Jackman and on and on and on

If Nolan is involved with Superman then I can see Goyer involved too afterall they have long relationship working together

Rewriting Conan at this time so close to shooting makes me a bit nervous, fingers crossed. And Rourke as Conan's dad sounds awesome, the guy looks like he's been through some skirmishes

ya, as long as he looks like he's atleast 30 or so. Y would Iron Man or the Hulk, or the Thor listen to a 23 yr old lookin kid? Even if they did,  it wouldn't feel right for the audience.
