This is starting to freak me out. I loved X-Men 2 and was surprised that Fox didn't jump on the bandwagon to produce X-Men 3 with Bryan Singer... instead they let a personal grudge see him off to work on Superman. My confidence in this project went with Singer. All I can do is hope that X-Men 3 won't be bad instead of jump around excitedly about what Singer was originally crafting.

I keep waiting for some of the main cast to start popping up to talk about how bad this movie is shapping up to be. I don't undertand for the life of me why they're in such a rush to make X-3. I mean the money's gonna make the same bank even if it's released in about two more years.

They can just wait for Singer to be done with Superman, and then get him working on X-3. Instead we'll probably end up with X-3 and Superman going head to head. I'll never understand the way Hollywood's mind works.

Lets just hope that the X series dont get F*$@ed up. The new characters ( Dark Phoenix, Beast, Angel and cameos from Gambit and Colossus )should help the public still want to see the next movie. Losing Nightcrawler(Alan Cumming) was a big blow to the series as well as Bryan Singer.

P.S.----Writer/director Joss Whedon has commented on rumors that his "Firefly" and "Serenity" star Summer Glau is up for the role of Kitty Pryde in X-Men 3, now that "Lost" star Maggie Grace is no longer on board.

THIS IS GREAT!!! Praise Bret Ratner! This movie is going to be sooo bad, it won't get released. The studio will see the error in it's ways and a bunch of people will get fired. Then we'll get a third movie "remake" by Brian Singer, who will have creative control. Yes, I know this is too good to be true, but I can dream can't I? I'd rather imagine my own movie than see this one and just pretend I saw it instead. My friends will say, "what did you think of X3?" And I'll reply with a long list of things I liked that never were in the movie they saw.

As proof of this movies shit potential, Bret Ratner is writing his own mutant into the script that doesn't even exist in the X universe. A women who uses super-sex apeal to get her way and hypnotise men. Yeah, a hooker mutant people. A HOOKER MUTANT!!! Maybe the film wont even make it into production. Maybe one of the big names will exit last minute and use the chaos as an excuse to breach their contract. Now that's more likely. Maybe I wont need to make my own movie up.

Actually bigbadbuffyfan, the mutant hooker DOES exist in the comics. She is Stacy-X and became a temporary member of Archangel's X-Men team a while back. Maybe you ought to actually READ the comics before sounding off about how bad Ratner's version is first, eh?

• Jul 03, 2005, 12:32pm •
Hear, hear, berksbear. You are correct about Stacy-X.

This is actually several-days-old-news. Several sources reported last week that X3's continuously-pushed-back shooting schedule was beginning to threaten a conflict with next season's "Lost", and that "Lost"'s producers threatened to write Grace's character out of the show if she decided to go with X3.

Wow. I will admit, I didn't know about that character, but it doesn't make it a good idea. You sound like you're defending the decision. And one more thing. I have read the comics. I've read several hundred of them. But I had never come across that character. So for me and the other hundred million X-man fans who didn't know she existed, I apologize.

Bret Ratner, please die. THANK YOU.
