Konami of America announced today that its classic arcade shooter, GRADIUS will come to the GAME BOY ADVANCE this fall.

GRADIUS GALAXIES is an all-new game that gives the player control of the Vic Viper, a fast attack ship. After choosing the initial weapons configuration, the ship is sent into battle. Weapons can further be upgraded by grabbing power ups.

"GRADIUS GALAXIES' side-scrolling action hearkens back to the early days of arcade shoot-'em-ups while building on the classic gameplay that gamers have come to expect from the Gradius series. Wave after wave of enemies hound the player through 8 all new stages, while colossal end bosses fill the screen with a constellation of heavy fire," says the company's press release.

GRADIUS GALAXIES will release this fall for $39.99.
