Grammy Award Winners for Soundtracks

The winners of the Grammy Awards were announced last week. RAY won Best Score Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media (Craig Armstrong) and Best Compilation Soundtrack Album For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media (James Austin, Stuart Benjamin, Taylor Hackford).
Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard won Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media for "Believe" from THE POLAR EXPRESS, John DuPrez and Eric Idle won Best Musical Show Album for MONTY PYTHON'S SPALAMOT, and Gordon Goodwin won Best Instrumental Arrangement for THE INCREDIBLES' "The Incredits."
In the Best Instrumental Composition category, the award was won by the only non-film music nominee, "Into the Light" by Billy Childs, beating "Annakin's Betrayal" (REVENGE OF THE SITH) by John Williams, "The Incredits" (THE INCREDIBLES) by Michael Giacchino, and "The Ferry Scene" (WAR OF THE WORLDS) by John Williams.
